Call for Young Artists: Rules & Regulations

1. Eligibility

Open to all artists aged 18 to 35 on 31/Dec/2025, proof may be asked for on demand.

Works must be original creations by the submitting artist.

Artworks previously exhibited at Cave31 are not eligible.

2. Categories Accepted

Painting (all mediums)

Drawing

Printmaking

Sculpture

Mixed media / Installation (subject to space availability)

3. Submission Guidelines

Each artist may submit 1–3 artworks.

Submissions must include:

Title, medium, size, year of creation

4. Artwork Specifications

Paintings must be ready to hang, with proper hooks/string. 

Sculptures must be stable and safe for public display.

Maximum size per painting: within 24” x 24” including frame 

Maximum size of sculpture:  dimension within 12” x 12” x 12”.

Wet, fragile, or unstable works will not be accepted.

5. Selection Process

A selection committee appointed by Cave31 Gallery will review submissions.

Selection is based on artistic quality, originality.

Decisions of the committee will be final.

Selected List will be published in our website by 20th December

6. Fees

There are no registration or participation fees for this event.

7. Delivery & Collection

Selected artists must deliver artworks to the gallery on or before: 23rd December

Artists are responsible for packaging and safe transportation.

Artwork must be collected on the last day of the exhibition if not sold.

8. Sales & Commission

All works must be for sale, unless specifically exempted.

Price is determined by the Artist and should be reasonable and based on the previous sale history.

Cave31 Gallery will charge 20% commission on sold price.

Artists will receive payment for the sold artwork once the artwork is delivered to the buyer and accepted.

9. Insurance & Liability

The gallery will take reasonable care of the artworks.

However, Cave31 Gallery is not liable for theft, loss, damage, or natural wear during transport, installation, or exhibition.

Artists are encouraged to insure their own works if needed.

10. Exhibition Conduct

The gallery reserves the right to reject any artwork that is unsafe, offensive, or does not match the submission.

Artists may not remove or replace artwork during the exhibition without permission.

The gallery may rearrange display layouts as needed.

11. Promotion & Publicity

Selected works may be used in promotional material: posters, social media, catalogue, press releases, etc.

Artists agree to allow use of their submitted images for promotional purposes without additional compensation.

12. Agreement

By submitting to the call, the artist acknowledges that they have read and agreed to these rules and regulations.
